Punjabi Chole is one of the most popular dish from the very rich Punjabi cuisine and every household inherits a unique chole bhature recipe. Go to any North Indian restaurant and you will find chole bhature in the menu. A spiced gravy with chole and fluffy bhature can be the perfect brunch to start your day.
Chole, Kabuli chana or chickpeas are soaked overnight and cooked in an array of traditional spices to make one of the most delectable dish. The ultimate combination of ‘Choley’ and ‘Bhature’ (Deep fried Indian bread) is also one of the prominent dish for breakfast, lunch, street food and festive meals.
These Punjabi style chole are made with the gravy, but some people also prefer to have the 'No Gravy' version or the 'Sookhe Chole' also known as Chana Masala or Pindi Choley in most regions.Â
