Bhel Puri needs no introduction- A super simple snack that tastes outstanding with the combination of puffed rice (Murmure/lai), onion, tomatoes, cucumber, chutneys & spices. Bhel is undoubtedly a tongue tickling experience for anyone who loves Chatpati Bhel Chaat and also a Zero Oil Recipe.

So one fine summer evening we decided to give it a more tangy twist by adding fresh seasonal Raw Mangoes lying in pantry. Would you believe….it turned out outstanding! Juicy green mangoes infused with bhel, red chilly powder, black salt were finger licking good. So, aren’t you drooling ?

Now, wait no further and check out our recipe.

Did you know , Raw mango is one of the healthiest fruits you can try out in the beginning of summer. At every nook and corner you will see a cart loaded with raw mangoes and it is indeed a bliss to see people indulging in this lovely sour treat. Being deliciously tangy is one thing, they are also rich in vitamin A & C, calcium, iron and magnesium. The acidity in green mangoes helps in better digestion and curing constipation. However, care must be taken as an excess doze might lead to throat irritation, stomach upset, abdominal pain and nasal bleeding.

The best way to enjoy Bhel Puri is in ‘Paper cones’….you can never get that ‘Chatpata’ feel if you eat in bowls. Even if you are planning to serve this in your get together or to friends at home, then simply combine all dry ingredients well in advance. Just before serving mix in chutneys, grated raw mango and serve in paper cones. Though you might serve chopped green chilly separately in a bowl so that everyone can enjoy bhel as per their taste.
