Recipe Ingredients

  • Button mushrooms – 200 gms.
  • Cornflour – ¼ cup (Adjustable)
  • Tomato sauce – 1 tablespoon
  • Green chilly sauce – 1 teaspoon
  • Soya sauce – 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper powder – ¼ teaspoon
  • Salt – To taste
  • Water – To make batter
  • Breadcrumbs – For coating
  • Oil – For deep frying

How to make Crunchy Fried Mushrooms

  • To make these delicious Indo Chinese ‘Crunchy deep fried mushrooms’ we need three bowls….one to make batter, second to combine the ingredients and third for bread crumbs.
  • Let’s begin with making the batter. For this, take cornflour in a bowl and make a batter with water. Keep aside.
  • Meanwhile, heat oil in a pan for deep frying.
  • Now combine mushrooms in another bowl, add in all the sauces, spices, salt and toss to coat evenly.
  • Take one mushroom and dip it into the batter. Once it is coated, let the excess batter drip off and then roll in breadcrumbs until dry to touch.
  • Repeat this process with the remaining mushrooms. Drop in oil in small batches and deep fry till golden and crisp.
  • Transfer to a plate with kitchen napkin to absorb the excess oil.

Delicious Indo Chinese crunchy fried mushrooms are ready. Savor with tomato ketchup or mayo dip.
