Chilli Spinach Cheese Toast is an excellent Breakfast Recipe. Spinach Cheese Toast is a quick recipe and requires bread, grated cheese and green chilli.

It’s a wonderful Tea Time Snack option too when you are running out of time and want to make a Healthy and Filling Snack without much preparations.

Spinach Cheese Toast also makes a perfect snack for you kid’s school lunch box with some tomato ketchup, though you might want to reduce or omit adding chillies in that case.

These slight crisp and cheesy toasts with the goodness to fresh spinach and punch of green chilli make a lip smacking snack and something that you would also love to relish for a lazy evening with a cup of Cappuccino or Masala Tea. Though we have Baked these toasts to perfection, but you can even roast them on Tawa till crisp and here we share with both these techniques.

Recipe Ingredients

  • Bread - 3 slices
  • Cheese grated - 1 cup
  • Spinach (Finely chopped) - 1 cup
  • Green chilli (Finely chopped) - 1 teaspoon or to taste
  • Salt - To taste
  • Chilli flakes - As required
  • Black pepper powder - A pinch or two
  • Butter (Purely optional)

How to make Chilli Spinach Cheese Toast

  1. Take a mixing bowl and combine chopped spinach, grated cheese and all remaing ingredients except butter.
  2. Mix to make a homogeneous mixture. Topping for our toasts is now ready.
  3. Cut bread into half or just keep it whole. Spread some butter and layer a tablespoon of filling evenly. You can omit using butter if you want.
  4. Toasts are ready and we can proceed to cooking.
  5. Now there are 2 ways to cook these toasts - A.Baking   B.Cooking on gas top

Baking -

  1. Bake these toasts in a pre heated oven at 200 degrees for 5-7 minutes or till cheese melts and toasts gets slight crisp as per your preferance.

Cooking on Gas Top -

  1. Heat a pan and spread some butter. Put toasts and cover with a lid or plate. Simmer on low flame for 2-3 minutes till crisp. Remove from heat and serve immediately.
