Potato n cauliflower curry is an all time favorite and is made in various styles in households.  Here we give you the easiest way to make this classic combination curry in a pressure cooker with basic ingredients. Well….’Pressure cooking’ is one of the most convenient and healthiest way of cooking food as it requires less time & less oil.

In this recipe, the vegetables are lightly seasoned with typical Indian spices and sourness comes from fresh juicy tomatoes. A simple recipe to make regular curries with slight modifications.

Recipe Ingredients

  • Aloo (Cut in cubes) – 200 gms.
  • Gobi (Cut in florets) – 250 gms.
  • Tomato (Chopped) – 1 large
  • Onion (Sliced) – 1 medium
  • Ginger garlic paste – 2 tea spoon
  • Garam masala powder – 2 tea spoon
  • Coriander powder – 1 tea spoon
  • Red chilly powder – 1 tea spoon
  • Cumin seeds – 1 tea spoon
  • Turmeric powder – 1/2 tea spoon
  • Salt – To taste
  • Water – 1 cup or as required
  • Oil – 2 table spoon

How to make Aloo Gobi Sabji

  • This recipe involves ‘Pressure cooking’, hence first we need to heat oil in pressure cooker. Add cumin seeds, when they crackle add onion and sauté till pink.
  • Now add chopped tomatoes & ginger garlic paste. Saute on medium flame till tomatoes get mushy.
  • To this add all the powdered spices and sauté till oil separates from the masala.
  • Add potatoes, cauliflower and water. Adjust the quantity of water as per your requirement of gravy. Season with salt and put on the lid.
  • Cook on medium to high heat for 2 whistles and then remove from heat. Let the pressure release by itself.

‘Aloo gobhi curry’ is ready. Transfer to a serving bowl and garnish with freshly chopped coriander. Relish with hot phulkas, paranthas and rice. Do refer our serving suggestions for a healthy, light, planned meal.
