I must admit that I never bought raw pumpkin seeds before. But this time while grocery shopping, I badly wanted to try some amazing and easy recipes with Zero Oil since I am a night owl and love munching on one or two snacks before finally going to bed. So, I bought a 100 gms. pack of shelled pumpkin seeds and decieded to give it a try. Recently I also received many mails where people request for No Baking Easy & Healthy Snack Recipes, hence I tried roasting these wonderful seeds on pan over gas top without any baking and guess what??? It was super easy and the nutty flavor that comes right after roasting these seeds is seriously addictive. Besides, these can be salted or spiced as per preferance like I simply seasoned with black salt, chaat masala and little amount of red chilli powder. You can also season with -

Onion powder

Garlic powder

Paprika

Black pepper powder

Mint powder

…..or anything creative that you can come up with!

Recipe Ingredients

  • Pumpkin seeds shelled (Kaddu ke beej) - 100 gms.

For seasoning -

  • Black salt
  • Chaat masala
  • Red chilli powder

How to make Roasted Pumpkin Seeds

  1. To make Roasted Pumpkin Seeds at home is really easy and once you try this recipe, we bet you won’t be buying those costly packs from the market.
  2. Heat a pan over low to medium heat and add in shelled pumpkin seeds. No need to add any butter or oil.
  3. Toss the seeds and keep stirring to avoid burning and also making sure that seeds are roasting uniformally.
  4. When the seeds begin to turn slight golden and give out nutty aroma, remove from heat.
  5. Transfer these roasted seeds in a bowl and season with black salt, chaat masala and red chilli powder to your preferance.
  6. When cool, store in an air tight container.
