Recipe Ingredients

  • Paneer (Cottage cheese) – 200 gms.
  • Cabbage (Shredded) – 1 cup
  • Bread crumbs – ½ cup + extra for coating
  • Green chilly (Finely chopped) – 2 teaspoon
  • Ginger (Finely chopped) – 2 teaspoon
  • Fresh coriander (Finely chopped) – 2 tablespoon
  • Black pepper (Crushed) – 1 teaspoon
  • Red chilly powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Chaat masala – 1 teaspoon
  • Salt – To taste
  • Refined oil – To shallow fry

How to make Paneer and Cabbage Cutlet

  • To begin with making these ‘Paneer & Cabbage Cutlets’ we need a large mixing bowl.
  • Crumble paneer and combine all the remaining ingredients (Except ‘Oil’ to shallow fry and ‘Bread Crumbs’ for coating).
  • Mix well to form a dough.
  • Divide this dough into equal lemon sixe balls.
  • Lightly grease your palms with oil and shape each ball as desired.
  • Roll into bread crumbs and keep aside.
  • Meanwhile heat sufficient oil in a pan.
  • Place the cutlets on the pan in small batches and shallow fry till golden and crisp.
  • Serve hot.

Crisp ‘Paneer and cabbage cutlets’ are now ready. Serve with tea and home made dahi ki chutney or any chutney of choice.

Notes –

  • You can shape culets with cookie cutters and make interesting patterns.
  • Instead of ‘Shallo frying’, you can BAKE the cutlets. This is a healthier alternative.
  • Before shallow frying, check by frying one cutlet. If it breaks then your culet mix possibly needs more binding. So add some more bread crumbs.
