Did you know, ‘Fenugreek’ is rich in calcium, phosphorus, and a good source of Iron and vitamin C. Steaming is considered the best way of cooking this herb, as all the vitamins are retained. The protein content in dried fenugreek leaves is almost equal to that in pulses. Besides, it also helps in lowering sugar levels in blood and hence good for diabetics.
In winters, how about beginning the meal with a healthy soup? A hearty bowl of homemade ‘Cabbage Soup With Milk’would be very satisfying. In main course, serve aloo methi curry with spinach thepla (Palak thepla) or banana bun. Team with simple home style egg curry and kacchi haldi ka achaar (Raw turmeric pickle).
