Cucumber Raita is an exotic side dish and a perfect recipe for dinner. Cucumber Raita commonly known as 'Kheere Ka Raita' is evergreen raita and goes with most recipes. Lets read the full Cucumber Raita recipe with its method and ingredients.

Cucumber Raita is a delicious and refreshing side dish that you can serve with all types of Indian meals. Due to the soothing properties of Cucumber, this raita is mostly served with spicy Curries, Pulao and Biryanis. The recipe is quite simple and is made with using thick curd, cucumber, black salt, white salt, green chilly and a hint of cumin powder. You can also add some grated ginger, fresh mint leaves and red chilly powder to enhance the flavors.

Undoubtedly, this one is the easiet raita that you can whip up in less than 10 minutes. While whipping this raita, I usually peel the skin and then grate cucumber, but if the skin is healthy and fresh then no need to peel. You can grate cucumber with the skin. The dark green skin contains the majority of a cucumber's antioxidants, insoluble fiber and potassium. The cucumber peel also holds most of its vitamin K. So the next time you have a Greek salad, ask the chef not to peel it.

We have also shared Raita recipes that are really simple and fantastic with anything, so you can try them like Boondi Raita, Beetroot Raita, Aloo Raita, Coriander Raita, Onion Raita and more.

Perhaps, not only veggies you can also make some exotic raitas with seasonal Fruits to serve in any festivity or party like Pomegranate Raita, Orange Mint Raita, Mango Raita.

Cucumber raita is perfectly apt to be served with spicy curries, stir fries, Biryanis and Pulao dishes.

Cucumber raita made with ‘Thick’ curd also serves as the healtiest and appetizing DIP for Nachos, Corn pakoda, Paneer Cutlets and more.

For Navratri or Falahar -

Skip adding common salt and black salt to cucumber raita. Add Farali salt if you want to have it for Vrat or Falahar. A freshly whiped cucumber raita pairs wonderfully with Rajgira Aloo Tikkis.
